W.Nr. 1.2363
Cr - Mo - V alloyed steel with high dimensional stability during heat treatment. It features high toughness, wear resistance, good machinability and hardenability. The steel is air hardenable, with good hardenability. Due to its properties it takes position between W.Nr. 1.2842 and W.Nr. 1.2379.
The steel is suitable for nitration.
Thanks to its toughness and abrasive wear resistance, the steel is used for cutting tools (dies, stamping tools), tools for pressing machinery, tools for thread rolling, tools for cold processing (bending, extruding, drawing), trimming shear blades, forming rolls, calibers, measuring instruments and moulds for plastic materials pressing.
